NIKE LD-1000は、1977年にロング・ディスタンス(長距離)の頭文字を取り、1年間に1000マイル走ることができるという意味を込め、名付けられました。足のトラブルを減らすために、NIKE初のナイロンメッシュ素材をアッパーに採用しており、後ろに大きく広がったフレアソールが特徴的です。ですが、安全上の理由で当時すぐに回収されたという異色の歴史があります。本作は、2024年に発売された復刻版となります。ナイロンとスウェードを組み合わせたアッパーに、アイコニックなワッフルアウトソールを採用しています。鮮やかなイエローとグリーンのコントラストが目を引く、クラシックな魅力溢れる一足です。若干スウェード部分に傷がありますが、その他状態の良い商品のため、まだまだ履いていただけます。

The NIKE LD-1000 was named in 1977, taking its name from the initials of “Long Distance” and embodying the idea that it could be used to run 1,000 miles in a year. To reduce foot problems, it featured NIKE’s first nylon mesh upper and was characterized by a flared sole that widened significantly toward the back. However, it has an unusual history: it was recalled shortly after its release for safety reasons. This pair is a reissue released in 2024. It features an upper combining nylon and suede, along with the iconic Waffle outsole. With its eye-catching contrast of vibrant yellow and green, it’s a pair brimming with classic charm. While there are some minor scratches on the suede sections, the shoe is otherwise in good condition and is still perfectly wearable.
