SPACE HIPPIEとはNIKEにとっての「宇宙ゴミ」とも言える廃棄されるスクラップを蘇らせ、循環性を重視した大胆なデザインに仕上げた実験的なフットウェアコレクションのこと。アッパーを構成するニットの素材はペットボトルやTシャツから作られた100%のリサイクル素材。クッショニング部は同社のNIKE VAPORFLY 4%のスクラップを元に再加工。二酸化炭素の排出量を約半分に。クレーターフォームで作られたソールはグラインドラバー(不要となった靴や廃棄となった素材から作られたラバー)を約15%混ぜることで、新たな素材を使うことを防ぎつつ、炭素排出量を削減。エコに対する取り組みがこれでもかと詰め込まれたプロダクトたちはデザインも素晴らしいです。03はハイカットのスリッポンタイプ。近未来的なデザインが特徴的です。軽量かつ、通気性も良いので時期的には今おすすめです。日本限定カラー。アッパー中腹の黄色いベルトを引っ張ることで紐が締まるシステムを搭載。緩めるときはシューズ後方の黄色いベルトを引っ張ることでロックが外れ、緩められるようになります。折角なのでショーツと合わせたい一足です。2020年製。若干の汚れ、使用感はありますがまだまだ履いていただけると思います。

SPACE HIPPIE is an experimental footwear collection that revives discarded scraps, which for NIKE are "space trash," and creates bold designs with an emphasis on recyclability. The knit material that makes up the upper is 100% recycled, made from plastic bottles and T-shirts. The cushioning section is reprocessed from scraps of the company's NIKE VAPORFLY 4%. Carbon dioxide emissions are reduced by about half. The sole, made from crater foam, is mixed with about 15% grind rubber (rubber made from unwanted shoes or discarded materials), reducing carbon emissions while preventing the use of new materials. The 03 is a high-cut slip-on type. The futuristic design is distinctive. Lightweight and breathable, it is recommended for the season. It is equipped with a system that tightens the laces by pulling on the yellow belt in the middle of the upper. To loosen the laces, pull on the yellow belt at the rear of the shoe to release the lock and loosen the laces. Made in 2020. The shoes have some stains and signs of use, but they can still be worn.
